Learning Management System (LMS) Course Example: Canvas

This mock Canvas course, which you can browse here, was built during two courses during my time at American College of Education, DL5773 – Online Course Design and DL5783 – Engaging Learning in Online Instruction. Emphasis was placed on creating a consistent flow of course modules, as well as course gamification. For context, I am a sound designer and use a virtual instrument called Choreographs by Slate + Ash. At the time I created the course, there was no official manual for the product, so I designed a course around Merrill's Pebble-in-a-pond instructional design model where students would use their knowledge of other sound synthesizers that they know to learn Choreographs together and collaboratively write a collective manual in Google Docs.

For more information, you can view the course details, course map, gamification evaluation table, games rules, and intro video storyboard here.
