These images were made with DALL-E 2 by OpenAI from July to December 2022. My process began by making digital collages in Procreate Pocket for iPhone from open-source photos and uploading them to DALL-E. From there, I generated a wide range of variations until I saw images I liked that were similar enough. Final images were edited in VSCO, Topaz Labs Gigapixel AI, and Adobe Photoshop. We can generate images close to our minds' ideas using a text-to-image prompt. When working with image-to-image variation, we ask the AI to play a game of Eye Spy, and it will generate images far beyond what we can imagine.
